We have guided our clients through the development and initial licensing of their personal care homes. We routinely provide counsel to personal care homes on operational compliance with the revised regulations and the Regulatory Compliance Guide. We provide representation in the acquisition of personal care homes, as well as facilitating the addition of personal care services to existing operations. We have experience in representing providers in appeals of adverse licensure actions, including license revocation proceedings. Our experience facilitates our ability to develop creative and innovative solutions to difficult licensing challenges. We “bring to the table” our extensive regulatory experience, knowledge of the regulations and regulatory process, and familiarity with the regulatory agencies.
With the advent of Assisted Living in Pennsylvania, Kimber Latsha, as course planner for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute (PBI), helped to develop an educational program entitled “Pennsylvania’s New Assisted Living Legislation”, which he, in conjunction with others, taught for the PBI. He and an associate of the Firm also provided educational sessions across the state for Leading Age PA on the new legislation. The Firm has provided guidance to providers regarding the new regulatory framework and assists providers who wish to add “Assisted Living” to the continuum of long term care services.
