Peter R. Wilson is a Shareholder and the Chairman of the firm’s Health Care Transactions Practice Group. Mr. Wilson represents a range of health care clients, including Life Plan providers, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, personal care homes, physician groups, ambulatory surgery centers, home health agencies, medical technology companies, and dental groups, among others. He has experience in the areas of mergers, acquisitions, affiliations, alliances, strategic transactions, joint ventures, numerous types of contractual agreements, health care information technology, and formation of health care entities, with an emphasis of tax-exemption matters including structuring concerns and ongoing compliance. He has guided providers through numerous transactions, handling all aspects of health care transactions. Additionally, Mr. Wilson advises clients in health care financings, including tax-exempt bond transactions, as well as related real estate matters. As such, Mr. Wilson is a licensed title agent in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Besides his health care practice, Mr. Wilson also counsels general business and corporate clients in mergers and acquisitions, start-ups, and day-to-day general corporate legal issues in a variety of fields. Mr. Wilson is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Association. He has lectured before LeadingAge, LeadingAge Pennsylvania, the Pennsylvania Health Care Association, and the Pennsylvania Bar Institute.
Mr. Wilson graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science, and the University of Minnesota Law School with a Juris Doctorate, cum laude. He is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and is admitted to the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania and the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
