Since the formation of Latsha Davis & Marshall, P.C. in May 1994, founding member Kimber Latsha has served as the firm’s managing shareholder. Under his leadership, the firm developed a nationally recognized healthcare practice, providing the highest quality legal services to the long term care provider community. Thanks to Kimber’s focus and drive, our firm stays on the cutting edge of legal issues affecting the provider community and translates that information into proactive legal advice to our clients, offers critical continuing education to the provider community, and zealously represents our clients.
Today we are pleased to announce a transition for the firm and for Kimber. As of July 1, 2021, Kimber has transitioned to “Of Counsel” status. Despite this change in structure and title, Kimber will continue to provide LDM attorneys and other professionals with his skilled guidance and to coordinate certain client matters, ensuring a seamless transition and continuity of legal services and representation at the highest level of excellence that is our standard.
David Marshall, a long-time LDM attorney and named partner, will lead the firm going forward, assuming the role and title of managing shareholder as of July 1.
Kimber’s announcement today is the culmination of a legal career spanning decades, during which he has represented clients on the state and national levels. He is a former chair and long standing member of the LeadingAge Legal Committee. He is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association and has served as a vice chair of its Post-Acute and Long Term Care Services (PALS) Practice Group and on its Planning Committee for the annual Long Term Care & the Law Conference. Kimber and LDM have served as LeadingAgePA’s general counsel for many years, an honor of which he is particularly proud. He has been recognized for thirteen consecutive years as one of the Best Lawyers in America® in the practice of Health Care Law. In 2008 he was awarded and has since maintained an AV® preeminent rating through the Martindale Hubbell Peer Review Ratings attesting to the highest level of legal ability and ethics in the legal profession. Kimber has facilitated the ability of our firm’s clients to navigate successfully through the many significant changes in the delivery and regulation of long term care services over the years of his service to the firm.
In making this transition, Kimber is particularly thankful for the privilege of representing organizations and people who are committed to caring for the elderly and infirm, and for the many friendships and professional relationships that he has been blessed to experience over the course of his career. We hope you join us in thanking Kimber for his contributions to the long term care community and to our firm, and in wishing Kimber and his wife Debbie the very best as they move into the next and exciting phase of their lives.
