LABOR AND EMPLOYMENT PRACTICE
The attorneys at LATSHA DAVIS YOHE & MCKENNA, P.C., are committed to providing responsive service and accurate
legal advice in the area of labor and employment law. We represent
clients on a broad range of labor and employment law issues. We
are experienced in handling union organizing campaigns, elections,
labor arbitrations, mediations and other matters under the
National Labor Relations Act. Our representation of clients
involves the various aspects of collective bargaining. Clients who
have issues with respect to potential union relationships are
counseled on union avoidance, where our Firm handles all phases of
administrative or civil litigation which may arise from organizing
efforts and unfair labor practices charges. For companies who have
union representation, we assist in the negotiation of collective
bargaining agreements, handle arbitrations and unfair labor
practices charges, as well as provide advice on the continuing
relationship with unions and unionized employees.
We regularly represent clients on matters arising under the Fair
Labor Standards Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the
Americans with Disabilities Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights
Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Equal Pay Act, the
Occupational Safety and Health Act, Employee Retirement Income
Security Act, Equal Employment Opportunity regulations, and the
multitude of other federal, state, and local laws governing the
employment relationship. We have defended employers accused of
violating these laws before numerous state and federal agencies
and courts.
We take pride in our diversified labor and employment law practice
and in our ability to provide quality advice to our clients in the
areas of employee benefits and occupational safety and health, as
well as immigration and nationality law. We are experienced in the
area of employee benefits law. We are capable of addressing ERISA
and COBRA compliance issues, and can assist in the development of
retirement plans, bonus plans, salary structures, employment
agreements, deferred compensation plans and other benefits.
Finally, we recognize that any employment or labor matter requires
litigation to be an integral part of representation. Our
litigation experience encompasses virtually any type of
employment-related lawsuit. Although our efforts are primarily
directed to litigation avoidance, when litigation occurs, we are
prepared to achieve the best possible result for our clients.
